BroadwayWorld Stage Door, your one-stop shop for Broadway experiences and training in the comfort of your own home, announced today a lineup of new expanded services from our ensemble of Broadway talent.

Theatre 40 will present the staged reading of a new play, Basement Follies, on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The play is written and directed by Theatre 40 company member David Datz.

'Tidings: A Fractured Christmas Fable' is a humorous original story which merges elements of 'It's A Wonderful Life' and 'A Christmas Carol' into a magical story set a few days before Christmas in a modern department store.

The New York Youth Symphony Musical Theater Songwriting Program (NYYS) and Director Anna K. Jacobs have announced the 2021/2022 Season. Heading into its fourth season the NYYS Musical Theater Songwriting program is specially designed to lead students through a range of musical theater songwriting processes. 

Parker and Stone are known to Broadway lovers as the creators of The Book of Mormon. They each hold four Tony Awards. 

The unequivocal King of Broadway Soul made his 54 Below solo debut with an electric show to kick NYC Pride weekend off right! Known for his dynamic presence, megawatt smile, and a vocal tone that’s as rich as it is bright, KTP showered the audience with a variety of songs from his solo albums Broadway Soul Vol. 1 & 2 which reimagine Broadway classics with an R&B twist.

The concerts will feature a 28- piece socially-distanced orchestra playing David Cullen & Andrew Lloyd Webber'S original orchestrations. The concerts are directed by Jordan Murphy and conducted by Alex Parker. It will feature choreography by Joanna Goodwin, lighting by Jack Weir, sound design by Paul Smith.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat will host nine weeklong in-person residencies for 23 musical theatre writers of nine new musicals between June 27 and August 29.  Writers include Tony-nominee Beth Malone, Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls; Jonathan Larson winners Avi Amon, Sara Cooper, Ty Defoe, and Anna Jacobs and more.
