BIO

JORDAN SCOTT GILBERT is an acclaimed, award-winning Broadway and film producer, actor, singer, and director. Jordan also produced on the London revival of Pippin, featuring music and lyrics by three-time Academy Award winner and Tony Award recipient Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin) and starring Tony Award winner Frances Ruffelle (Les Misérables).

In film, Jordan directed and starred opposite Academy Award nominee Gary Busey (The Buddy Holly Story, Point Break) in the upcoming comedy feature film Murder at the Lakehouse, further extending his work across both sides of the camera as a director, actor, writer, and producer.

As a concert artist, Jordan tours his solo show, Jordan Scott Gilbert: Live in Concert, where he shares his story while singing powerful renditions of Broadway classics.

As an actor and singer, he has appeared on Broadway stages, in film and television projects, and at major venues including Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre, Broadway’s Imperial Theatre, Lincoln Center, 54 Below, and the historic Mark Hellinger Theatre. He has performed in events featuring two-time Academy Award winner and Emmy Award winner Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump, Toy Story), Tony and Emmy Award winner Nathan Lane (The Producers, The Lion King), and Tony and Emmy Award winner Cyndi Lauper (Kinky Boots, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”), among others.

Jordan’s additional producing, directing, writing, casting, and performance credits include Disney’s They Spoke Out: American Voices Against the Holocaust featuring Marvel comics chairman and Emmy Award nominee Stan Lee (Spider-Man, Hulk, Fantastic Four) and Neal Adams (Batman, X-Men), We Are Lights starring Tony and Emmy Award winner Melba Moore (Purlie, Hair) and former Actors’ Equity President Nick Wyman, Peace Aqua starring Tony Award nominee Andrea McArdle (Annie), Celebrity Confessions: Live from Broadway, The Phantom of the Improv, and Showbiz Talk with numerous Tony and Grammy Award winners.

Jordan has also helped develop new projects for major musical theatre and film artists, including Academy Award nominee and Grammy Award winner John Cameron (Les Misérables) and Tony Award nominee James Rado (Hair), placing him in creative proximity to some of the most recognizable works and artists in modern musical theatre history.

Throughout his career, Jordan has been invited to produce on several Tony Award-winning Broadway and West End productions, films, and television projects. He has participated in creative meetings with legendary artists including 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince (Phantom, Evita), received best wishes from icons such as Sir Paul McCartney (The Beatles), and received public endorsements from major cultural figures, including Elon Musk (Tesla, SpaceX), generating more than 30 million views.

Jordan’s Broadway journey began early. At age six, Jordan became known as “The Miz Kid” in publicity for the Broadway national tour of Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Misérables. He served as assistant to the lead producer on Broadway’s A Tale of Two Cities, directed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle (After Midnight, Hello, Dolly!) and designed by Academy, Emmy, and Tony Award winner Tony Walton (Pippin, All That Jazz). He also served as a stage management apprentice for the original Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera.

Beyond the stage and screen, Jordan has also been recognized for his work as a top theatre educator and acting, vocal, audition, and career coach. He received a certificate of recognition from Carnegie Hall for excellence in teaching voice and has coached actors, singers, students, and celebrities who have gone on to star in television, film, and Broadway shows, such as Hamilton.

In addition to his entertainment career, Jordan narrated a complete Bible translation audiobook from Genesis to Revelation for BibleHub.com, one of the world’s leading faith-based websites.

The most important thing to Jordan is his faith in Jesus Christ, who paid the full penalty for our sins through His perfect sinless life, shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection and offers salvation as a FREE GIFT to anyone and everyone who believes in Jesus Christ alone as their savior.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Review: A TALE OF TWO CITIES at Cavod Theatre
by Jason Davis - Oct 25, 2022

What did our critic think of A TALE OF TWO CITIES at Cavod Theatre? A most unique experience was had at the Cavod Theatre. This family-centered Christian organization develops shows to not only support their ministry, but to provide opportunities for the community to come together and support one another. A Tale of Two Cities took an interesting approach that I had never seen before. The director uses local community members to support a handful of professional actors. In doing so, the audience members get both sweet performances from young talent as well as powerful moments from experienced artists.

by Kristen Morale - Jul 16, 2014

The Phantom of the Opera, from its literary origins to the numerous film renditions made, all leading up to its fantastic run as a staged musical, is one of the most beautiful, heart-wrenching stories of its day. The Majestic Theater has ushered people through its doors to see Andrew Lloyd Webber's phenomenon of a show, and due to its popularity gives locals and tourists alike little reason to anticipate it going anywhere anytime soon. Including its recent North American production and the show's general worldwide reputation, Phantom has proven itself to be essentially untouchable.
