JORDAN SCOTT GILBERT became one of the youngest Award Winning Broadway Producers and Performers in Broadway Theatrical history, being the first ever recipient of the BROADWAY PRODUCER OF THE YEAR AWARD. He has worked alongside some of the most successful actors, singers, writers, composers, directors, and producers in the world and has been the President of his own independent production and casting companies.
Jordan Co-Produced the 3-TIME TONY® AWARD nominated and DRAMA DESK AWARD winning Broadway production of GHOST THE MUSICAL, for which he was named the first ever BROADWAY PRODUCER OF THE YEAR by Broadway Global. GHOST was directed by TONY® AWARD winner Matthew Warchus with music and lyrics written by multiple GRAMMY® AWARD winners Dave Stewart from "Eurythmics" and Glen Ballard, with a book by ACADEMY® AWARD winner Bruce Joel Rubin. Jordan also Co-Produced on "Godspell/Wicked/Disney" composer Stephen Schwartz's London revival of PIPPIN, starring TONY® AWARD winner Frances Ruffelle, and produced, directed, and co-wrote the Off-Broadway production of CELEBRITY CONFESSIONS: LIVE FROM BROADWAY, as well as the acclaimed New York production of THE PHANTOM OF THE IMPROV.
As an actor and singer, Jordan has performed in various ministry productions at TSC's historic former Broadway venue: The Mark Hellinger Theatre. Jordan has also performed in several stage, film, and television projects, including performances at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre featuring Tom Hanks, Nathan Lane, Cyndi Lauper and others, Broadway's Imperial Theatre, Lincoln Center, Studio 54 Below, and many other venues and regional theatres. At 6 years old, Jordan became known as "THE MIZ KID" in publicity for the Broadway National Tour of Cameron Mackintosh's LES MISERABLES, in which he went on to play several roles in future premieres of the musical.
Other credits as producer, casting director, or performer include DISNEY'S THEY SPOKE OUT: AMERICAN VOICES AGAINST THE HOLOCAUST featuring "Spider-Man, Hulk, Fantastic Four" co-creator and former Marvel Comics president/chairman Stan Lee and "Batman, Superman, X-Men" illustrator Neil Adams, WE ARE LIGHTS starring TONY® and GRAMMY® AWARD winner Melba Moore and former Actor's Equity President Nick Wyman, SHOWBIZ TALK with numerous TONY® and GRAMMY® AWARD winners and PEACE AQUA starring "original Annie" Andrea McArdle. Jordan earlier on served as an assistant to the lead producer on the Broadway musical A TALE OF TWO CITIES, directed by TONY® AWARD winner Warren Carlyle and designed by multiple ACADEMY® and TONY® AWARD winner Tony Walton.
Jordan received a BFA in Musical Theatre from Pace and as an acting, vocal, audition, career coach, and teacher, has worked successfully with actors and singers from around the world. In addition to being sought after to produce on several Broadway/West End shows, Films, and TV projects by some of the most prominent names in the business, Jordan has worked on developing a number of industry projects, including new musicals for James Rado, who co-wrote the 60's hit musical "Hair" and the ACADEMY® and EMMY® AWARD nominated John Cameron, who wrote the original musical score for the worldwide musical phenomenon "Les Miserables."
