De Niro Con​, a celebration of 80 years of Robert De Niro, has unveiled its programming lineup. Coinciding with the 2024 Tribeca Festival, this three-day tribute takes place at Spring Studios in New York City from June 14-16. The Gotham Film & Media Institute announced the nominations for the 33rd Annual Gotham Awards, singling out 20 feature films, 11 series, and 30 performances in ten award categories. The nominations were announced live from Cipriani Wall Street by Jeffrey Sharp, award-winning film producer and the Executive Director of The Gotham.

The Exorcist: Believer follows Victor Fielding (Tony winner and Oscar® nominee Leslie Odom, Jr.; One Night in Miami, Hamilton). Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood (WBSTH) announced a new addition to the Studio Tour in celebration of Warner Bros.' 95th Anniversary. Beginning May 4, 2018, the Classics Made Here tour and exhibit will take guests back to Hollywood's Golden Age with a tour focused on award-winning titles that have shot on the iconic Warner Bros. Studios backlot throughout the ages. Each tour is led by a specially trained guide, whose passion for TV and filmmaking includes extensive knowledge of Warner Bros.' classic library titles ranging from Casablanca, My Fair Lady, Rebel Without a Cause and TV shows such as Maverick, The Waltons and Batman plus many more. The two-hour intimate tour concludes at Stage 48: Script to Screen, where guests enjoy exclusive access to never-before-seen costumes and props from some of their favorite movies in the Classics Made Here exhibit.

Laurel and Hardy must be smiling in the comedy Valhalla. Cabrillo Music Theatre's near-perfect production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, which opened last night at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza's Scherr Forum, brings back the classic, broad humor from vaudeville, performed by an inspired cast of crazies who not only aren't afraid of anything going wrong, but are probably HOPING for mishaps that would destroy any other show. This is, of course, because Forum is one of those shows where spontaneity and the unexpected is almost as obligatory as Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart's uproarious script and Stephen Sondheim's witty lyrics.

According to the official LYSISTRATA JONES blog, Douglas Carter Beane and Lewis Flinn are currently at work on a high school-friendly edition of the Broadway comedy, which will be made available for licensing soon.

Broadway's new musical comedy Lysistrata Jones announces a Student rush tickets policy. Student rush tickets are available for purchase when the box office opens at 10am for that day's performance. There is a limit of 2 tickets per person with a valid student ID. Tickets, located in the front row and other selected locations, are $25 and subject to availability.
