Winners for the 2023 Chita Rivera Awards were announced this evening. In keeping with the mission of the Chita Rivera Awards, nominators considered outstanding choreography, featured dancers, and ensembles in shows on Broadway and Off Broadway, as well as outstanding choreography in film that opened during the 2022-2023 season.

​​​​​​​MCC Theater has announced the complete casting for the World Premiere of Only Gold, a new musical with music and lyrics by platinum recording artist and BRIT Award winner Kate Nash (“GLOW”) and a book by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) and Ted Malawer (Everything Beautiful Happens at Night).

Two new versions of the hit holiday pop classic JERSEY CHRISTMAS, written by Marlboro, NJ native and American Songwriting Award Winner Ben Rauch are being released to YouTube this week. An adult choir version of the song was released today, and a kids/teen choir version will also be released in the coming days.

Fresh off of a 2018 North American run with Stars, My Brightest Diamond will kick-off a US headline tour next month that has the band returning to the West Coast, East Coast and Midwest before venturing to the Southern US for the first time since the release of her new LP A Million And One – out now on Rhyme & Reason Records. My Brightest Diamond also just announced that she'll be joining Death Cab For Cutie on tour this Spring, all confirmed dates can be found below and tickets are on sale today. In addition, the band will be joining the folks at Live from Here with Chris Thile this Saturday, January 12th for a very special live radio show that also features Mandolin Orange, Judy Gold and Gaby Moreno. 

'Jersey Christmas' is a brand spankin' new holiday classic. It's the pop/rock creation of New Jersey native singer/songwriter/actor Ben Rauch, who performs lead vocals and composed the music for the song which he co-wrote with songwriter Gaby Gold. The music video was shot entirely on location in New Jersey, and features Jersey Shore beaches along with the Asbury Park landmark 'The Stone Pony' (the historic rock club known for launching the careers of Jersey heroes Springsteen & Bon Jovi). Single Room Occupancy, a new pop/rock comedy musical will be presented as part of the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival tonight, August 14, 17, 20, 21 and 27.

SINGLE ROOM OCCUPANCY is bringing the modern dating world to life at FringeNYC, beginning this Friday at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre. Creator and actor BEN RAUCH chats to BroadwayWorld about writing the music for Single Room Occupancy and bringing his love of Phil Collins to the forefront of this new, hilarious, pop/rock comedy musical.

Single Room Occupancy, a new pop/rock comedy musical will be presented as part of the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival on August 14, 17, 20, 21 and 27.  Written by and starring popular theatre, film and television actor  Ben Rauch (HBO's Girls, Jersey Boys-The Movie, Gossip Girl), Single Room Occupancy has lyrics by Gaby Gold, Rory Scholl, and Ben Rauch, set design by You-Shin Chen, lighting design by Suzanne Immarigeon, sound design by Joshua D. Reid, choreography by Jebbel Arce, musical direction by Noriko Sunamoto  and will be directed by Joey Murray. The musical will run at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre at Culture Project (Venue #13), 45 Bleecker Street (at Lafayette) for five shows only.

Continuing its commitment to developing new works, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will gather playwrights and composers from across the nation for its 2015 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre, where the public can attend performances, offer feedback, and participate in a panel discussion with the artists.

Oconer Navarro, Kamala Sankaram, Tidtaya Sinutoke (with Ty Defoe) and Jeff Tang.

Cabaret event SONGS OF VISCERA will premiere at Stage Left Studio, 214 W 30th Street, 7:30 pm. The one-night event is the brainchild of Emmy-nominated composer Garth Koren, Drama Desk-nominated character actor Frank Blocker, and the producer Cheryl King, and is (not unconsciously) scheduled for the night before the Mayan calendar ends.
