The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has been taped at the Ed Sullivan Theatre located on Broadway between 53rd and 54th Streets since it began in 2015. Starring Marco Nanini, Guilherme Weber, Helena Ignez, and Ary França, the tragicomic classic revisits Beckett’s haunting post-apocalyptic world, where Hamm, a blind and paralyzed old man, and his servant Clov remain trapped in a tense relationship of dependence, cruelty, and endless waiting. Written in the aftermath of World War II, the play remains one of the most powerful works of the Theater of the Absurd, exploring power, isolation, and the search for meaning in a collapsing world.
