Trey Parker

BIO

In 1992, Parker co-founded the production company Avenging Conscience with Matt Stone, Jason McHugh, and Ian Hardin. Their first project was the animated short Jesus vs. Frosty (1992).


In 1993, Parker wrote, directed, co-produced, and starred in the feature film Alferd Packer: The Musical, later retitled Cannibal! The Musical, which was released by Troma Entertainment in 1996.
In the mid-1990s, Parker and Stone created multiple television pilots and produced the industrial short Your Studio and You. Parker wrote the feature film Orgazmo (1997), which was distributed by October Films. They also created the animated short The Spirit of Christmas, which led to the development of South Park.
South Park premiered on Comedy Central in 1997, with Parker and Stone serving as writers, directors, producers, and voice actors. The series expanded into albums, merchandise, and video games, including South Park: The Stick of Truth (2014). In 2021, they signed a deal with ViacomCBS/Paramount to produce six additional seasons and 14 streaming projects, and in 2025 signed an exclusive five-year streaming agreement with Paramount+.
They starred in the comedy film BASEketball (1998) and released South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999), which Parker co-wrote and directed.
From 2000–01, Parker and Stone created and produced the sitcom That’s My Bush!.
They co-wrote, directed, and produced the marionette feature film Team America: World Police (2004).
With Robert Lopez, they created the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, which premiered in 2011, winning nine Tony Awards and a Grammy.
In 2013, they launched their production company Important Studios (later Park County). Parker voiced Balthazar Bratt in Despicable Me 3 (2017).
During 2020, they co-created the web series Sassy Justice.
