Steinway & Sons announces a $50,000 donation to Harlem School of the Arts made possible through a unique collaboration with musical icon Lenny Kravitz.

Stanislav Ioudenitch, associate professor of music/piano and artistic director of Park University's International Center for Music, has been inducted into the 2021 class of the Steinway & Sons Teacher Hall of Fame.

Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage will present two new free partner performances this week. Today, September 27, a free premiere of the Metropolitan Opera’s opening night, Terence Blanchard’s Fire Shut Up in My Bones, will be streamed live in Harlem’s Marcus Garvey Park. Tomorrow, September 28, Steinway & Sons will present a free in-person five-piano concert featuring the acclaimed piano ensemble The 5 Browns in Central Park’s Naumburg Bandshell, directly adjacent to Rumsey Playfield.

Steinway & Sons presents It Takes One to Tango, the extraordinary new album from pianist Jeanne  Golan. Golan describes the album as “a collection featuring tango-inspired gems that are largely unknown. 

On Friday, April 2, 2021, Steinway & Sons releases SIMPLE MUSIC, a complete recording of the rarely heard book of 33 miniatures from music for stage and screen by Georgia's legendary composer Giya Kancheli, performed and reimagined by two intrepid masters of their instruments: pianist Jenny Lin and accordion virtuoso Guy Klucevsek. 

On February 5th 2021, Steinway & Sons will releases the debut solo-piano album from composer / pianist Lowell Liebermann, released in conjunction with his 60th birthday. The two-disc album, Personal Demons, is an immaculately curated program of works that have inspired and shaped Liebermann's musical career.

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota launches its 23rd season with an exuberant reprise of "Piano Grand," the sell-out concert featuring five Steinway & Sons concert grand pianos together on one stage, Saturday, October 6, 4:00 p.m., at the Sarasota Opera House, 61 N. Pineapple Ave., Sarasota.

The Steinway & Sons grand piano that has long been used by artists during Spoleto Festival USA has gained a second life: The South Carolina Governor's School Foundation purchased the instrument for use by students and visiting artists of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, South Carolina. The piano was delivered to the school earlier this week. Students will have access to it at the start of the 2018-2019 school year, and the piano will find its permanent home in the Music Department's forthcoming 10,000-square-foot building that is currently under construction on campus and set to open in 2019.

On Monday, May 14, 2018, Third Street Music School Settlement (Third Street), the nation's longest running community school, will honor Grammy Award-winning Singer and Songwriter Rosanne Cash, Tony and Oscar Award-winner Joel Grey, and long-time Board Member and Award-winning Architect Byron Bell at its Annual Spring Gala. Graham Parker, President of Universal Studios Classical Music Labels, will serve as master of ceremonies and Lydia Fenet, Senior Vice President of Christie's Auction House will host the live auction. Funds raised through attendance, live and silent auction participation will help support Third Street scholarships and financial aid services. Pascal Rioult's RIOULT Dance NY announces its Centered On The Future 2018 Winter Gala to be held on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers – Pier 61 a 6:30pm. This year's Gala will honor Joseph W. Armbrust, Kaufman Astoria Studios, and Steinway & Sons. The Gala Co-Chairs are John A. MacKinnon and Harsha Murthy. Long-time friends of the company, actress Kathleen Turner, will speak and offer a special rendition of It's Only A Paper Moon, and Tony nominated Christine Andreas will sing Hymne a L'Amour reprising her 2015 collaboration with RIOULT.
