The cast of Out of the Box Theatrics’ Millennials Are Killing Musicals by Nico Juber, directed by Ciara Renée, will head into the studio this week to record its original cast album to be released this fall on Yellow Sound Label.  

54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club and 2022 Tony Awards® Honoree for Excellence in the Theatre, has announced special programming throughout the month of June. From Clint Holmes’ dazzling tribute to Peter Allen to the return engagement of Jenn Colella’s sold out show to Rebecca Clark’s uncanny Barbra Streisand concert, the PRIDE month events will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

Out of the Box Theatrics releases behind-the-scenes rehearsal photos from the Off-Broadway developmental production of Millennials Are Killing Musicals, written by Drama League songwriting contest and NAMT Challenge winner Nico Juber.

The production, to be directed by Ciara Renée (Waitress, Frozen), will play a limited engagement from May 7-28, 2023, at Theatre 71 at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament.

Rivera will join the Berkeley Playhouse leadership team as Producing Director of Education & Mainstage. After an extensive search, Executive Artistic Director Kimberly Dooley, Managing Director Mary K. Lins, and the Berkeley Playhouse Board of Directors confidently selected Rivera as their choice for this new position.

Next month, Broadway is coming to Los Angeles with the new 'Broadway Artist Lab' created by Rick Edinger, Andrew Burrill, and Kate Rancka. The groundbreaking educational experience will feature Broadway creators and educators in a series of curated musical theatre workshops, coachings, and live events.

"In Between Gods and Kings, our performers fuse theater and nightlife and take off-broadway to the next level-I guarantee it's like nothing you've been to before. In the fall of 2019 the Ohio University School of Theater will welcome its first class to an exciting new chapter of its undergraduate Theater Performance degree program. Two interrelated four-year degree tracks will now be offered in either acting or musical theater, with an innovative curricular approach designed to prepare students for the rapidly changing theater industry.
