On Monday, Feb. 12, Waterwell, the theater company founded by Arian Moayed and Tom Ridgely celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a party at Greenpoint Loft featuring cocktails, dinner, a silent and live auction, and performances by past Waterwell artists as well as current students and alums of the Waterwell Drama Program. TOOTSIE Partners With New School's College Of Performing Arts For National Author's Day
In honor of National Author's Day today, November 1, TOOTSIE has partnered with The New School's College of Performing Arts to launch a playwriting contest for its students. Participants must submit a new, original 5-minute comedic play with the title a?oeWho Are You?a?? based off a TOOTSIE song of the same title. The winner of the contest will receive a private writing consultation with Tony Award-winning book writer Robert Horn.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays announced a new crop of participants who will honor Academy Award-winning actor Kathy Bates at the 19th Annual The 24 Hour Plays Broadway Gala. The event will be held at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre in Times Square on Monday, November 18th.
Mannes School Of Music Presents Aaron Copland Concert At Alice Tully Hall
The New School's College of Performing Arts (COPA) today announced Aaron Copland: An American Portrait, a one-of-a-kind concert and performance at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall honoring Aaron Copland's legacy as a visionary composer and citizen-artist. CoPA's Mannes Orchestra, in partnership with the university's School of Drama, will perform Copland's A Lincoln Portrait and Symphony No. 3 as well as Art in an Uneasy World, a newly devised dramatic work based on Copland's testimony during the 1953 anticommunist hearings on a?oeun-American activities.a?? The concert will take place on Saturday, October 26th at 7:30 pm.

The School of Drama at The New School's College of Performing Arts is thrilled to announce a partnership with the Cherry Lane Mentor Project for their 2018 Graduating Class. Cherry Lane will present public industry readings for the School of Drama's graduating MFA Playwrights: Karina Billini, Blake Bishton, Nikhil Mahapatra, and Erica Mann.
The New School for Drama Presents NEW VOICES Playwrights Festival
The New School's School of Drama's newest playwriting talent will be on display during the New Voices Playwrights Festival, featuring four original plays performed in repertory February 17-24 and April 21-28, 2018. Showcasing the work of this year's graduating playwriting MFAs, the festival also highlights Drama's MFA actors and directors.

Tony Nominee Marin Ireland Will Join Original Cast Members in David Adjmi's 3C
The Arts Integrity Initiative at The New School College of Performing Arts, School of Drama announces casting for the first public reading of David Adjmi's 3C, following the work's landmark legal victory in April of 2015. Tony nominee Marin Ireland joins original 3C cast members Hannah Cabell, Eddie Cahill and Jake Silbermann in the free event.
