Following its 2019 Chicago World Premiere run, the team pivoted to create a virtual production for safe family viewing at home while theaters are closed.

Stowell, Director and Editor of The Papers of Abraham Lincoln, on Saturday, March 16 following the 8 p.m. performance at The Royal George Theatre, 1641 North Halsted. AN AMERICAN STORY tells the story of Abraham Lincoln's final day from the perspective of his doctor, Charles Leale, author of LINCOLN'S LAST HOURS, as well Dr. Leale's original report from 1865, which created an international sensation when it was discovered amongst Lincoln's papers in Washington, D.C. in June 2012. Felder and Dr. Stowell will discuss the historic significance of this discovery, as well as answer audience questions.
