HBO Documentary Films’ Original four-part documentary series HOSTAGES, a Show of Force Production, will debut WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) with two episodes airing back-to-back, followed by the final two episodes airing back-to-back on Thursday, September 29 at the same time on HBO.

TV News Legend Bill Small Passed Away at Age 93
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today mourns the passing of Bill Small, former CBS News Washington Bureau Chief, NBC News President, United Press International President, and Chairman of the News & Documentary Emmy® Awards from 2000 to 2010. Small died Sunday morning after a brief illness unrelated to the coronavirus. He was 93.
New Muppets to the Rescue of Child Refugees in the Middle East
Sesame Street is bringing a new gang of Muppets to the Middle East. The creators of the legendary children's show and the International Rescue Committee have joined forces to address the needs of child refugees in the region. Lesley Stahl traveled to Jordan to see the Arabic-language show as it was being filmed, and to meet Syrian refugee families whose young children are the focus of IRC services. Stahl visited refugee camps, as well as families living in tents on the side of the road, to see the needs of the youngest refugees firsthand. Stahl's report will be broadcast on the next edition of 60 MINUTES Sunday, Nov. 17 (7:30-8:30 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT) on the CBS Television Network.

CBS Renews Six More Dramas and Two News Programs For 2019-2020
CBS announced today that it has renewed six more drama series and two news programs for the 2019-2020 broadcast season. SEAL TEAM, S.W.A.T., MADAM SECRETARY, BULL, HAWAII FIVE-0 and MACGYVER will return to the CBS lineup next season, along with longstanding primetime news shows 60 MINUTES and 48 HOURS. With these pickups, CBS has now renewed 18 series for next year.
RATINGS: 60 MINUTES is Number One
60 MINUTES landed in the # 1 slot last week, drawing 10.25 million viewers according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, March 24, 2019. It was the fourth straight week – and the 13th time this season – the CBS News magazine finished among the top five programs. It was the second time this year 60 MINUTES claimed the top spot on Nielsen's list.

International Women's Media Foundation Presents 2018 Courage In Journalism Awards
The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) today honored several outstanding female journalists at the 2018 Courage in Journalism Awards luncheon at Cipriani 42nd Street. This year's honorees included news agency JINHA founder, Zehra Do?an, U.S. freelance photojournalist, Meridith Kohut, undercover CNN International correspondent, Nima Elbagir, and organized crime reporter and ZETA editor-in-chief, Rosario Mosso Castro. "60 Minutes'" Lesley Stahl also received the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award. Additionally, MSNBC President, Phil Griffin was recognized with the IWMF Leadership Award along with Bloomberg News' Senior Editor, Karen Toulon who was honored with the Gwen Ifill Award.
