All Australian tribute band BEATLEMANIA ON TOUR delighted Sydney fans of the British Rock Pop icons in a two hour concert covering the band's significant moments.

November programming has been announced at City Winery Chicago. Highlights of the month include multi-night runs from Jazz vocalist (and Chicago transplant) Lizz Wright (Nov. 1-2), Herb Alpert of Tijuana Brass with his wife, Grammy-winning singer Lani Hall, (Nov. 6-7), and four shows over two days with saxophonist Kurt Elling (Nov. 25-26) plus a benefit for Merit School of Music with Nico Segal (previously known as Donnie Trumpet from the Chance the Rapper-affiliated band, The Social Experiment) and The JuJu Exchange (Nov. 28) and much more.

Ridicule, satire and comedy have always been one of the most important elements of political protest, and as a result, Stephanie Miller's Sexy Liberal Resistance Tour makes a stop in Chicago at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2136 N. Southport Ave., Today, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m.

Next March the 'queen of the sitar' Anoushka Shankar will perform her spellbinding Land of Gold album and show live on stage at WOMADelaide ( 9-12 March, Adelaide's Botanic Park) at the Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House (Sunday, March 11) and then on to Hamer Hall, Arts Centre (Tuesday, March 13).

Fifty years ago, The Beatles changed the face of pop music when they released the iconic Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album. Billed by many as the first concept album, it marked a shift in focus to the recording studio from the live performance arena, as the frustrated band simply wanted their music to be heard. This, of course, meant that they would never perform these songs live - something that Rain have decided to put right.

The international hit tribute show, Beatlemania on Tour, will see audiences relive the heyday of one of the world's favourite pop acts when it rolls out across Australia from 27th September to 28th October 2017.

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) presents Crosscurrents, a collaboration by virtuoso musicians Zakir Hussain and Dave Holland on October 28 at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Hussain, the world's foremost tabla master, joins forces with Holland bandleader, composer, and 2017 NEA Jazz Master bassist alongside a stellar quintet including saxophonist Chris Potter and vocalist Shankar Mahadevan. Together, the ensemble will explore the fascinating artistic intersections between jazz and Indian music, and bridge two genres seemingly worlds apart.
