BIO
Gabrielle Union began her acting career with television roles in the 1990s. In 1997, she appeared in an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She also appeared in episodes of Moesha, Sister, Sister, Smart Guy, 7th Heaven, and Friends. Her early film work included roles in the 1999 films She's All That and 10 Things I Hate About You.
In 2000, Union appeared in the film Love & Basketball and starred in Bring It On. She also appeared in the CBS television series City of Angels. In 2001, she appeared in The Brothers. She had a leading role in Deliver Us from Eva and appeared in Bad Boys II. That same year, she voiced a character in The Proud Family. She appeared in the films Something the Lord Made and Breakin' All the Rules. In 2005, she appeared in Neo Ned and the remake of The Honeymooners, and starred in the television series Night Stalker. She appeared in the 2007 films Daddy's Little Girls and The Perfect Holiday. In 2008, she appeared in the television series Ugly Betty and the films Cadillac Records and Meet Dave. She also appeared in the television series Life and FlashForward.
In 2010 and 2011, Union appeared in episodes of Army Wives and NTSF:SD:SUV::. In 2012, she appeared in the films Think Like a Man, Good Deeds, and In Our Nature. In 2013, she began starring in the BET television series Being Mary Jane and appeared in the short film The Door. She reprised her role in Think Like a Man Too and appeared in Top Five. In 2015, she began voicing Nala in The Lion Guard. She appeared in The Birth of a Nation and Almost Christmas.
In 2018, Union starred in the film Breaking In. In 2019, she began starring in the television series L.A.'s Finest and served as a judge on America's Got Talent. In 2021, she portrayed Tootie Ramsey in Live in Front of a Studio Audience. In 2022, she starred in the film Cheaper by the Dozen and was cast in the third season of Truth Be Told. In 2023, she returned to voice a character in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.
