54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents The Return of Young Boy by Keenan Scott II & Tre Matthews on October 18 at 7 pm. 

The Broadway revival of Ntozake Shange's for colored girls who have considered suicide/ when the rainbow is enuf, directed and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Camille A. The Keenan Scott II play, directed by Steven H. Broadnax III has tried its hardest to safely navigate the current health crisis, even putting the playwright on stage with script this past Tuesday evening, but eventually was not able to continue under the unfortunate conditions of Covid exposure in the city and country.

Last night at Broadway's new hit play, Thoughts of a Colored Man, playwright Keenan Scott II made the rare move of going on in one of the roles, after a cast member tested positive for COVID-19 and two non-COVID related illnesses felled the cast.

Super star Vanessa Williams, along with Ashleigh Murray, who stars along with Luke James in the upcoming Hallmark Holiday movie “Christmas in Harmony” congratulated actors Bryan Terrell Clark, Dyllon Burnside, Tristen Mack Wilds, and Luke James after a  performance of THOUGHTS OF A COLORED MAN.

Mack gave thanks to playwright and Broadway’s newest voice, Keenan Scott II, and in honor of the first performance, Luke James sang and acapella blessing to the cast and the production and to all the Broadway theaters and their casts.

merch., the first Black-owned Broadway merchandise company, has announced that it will create and sell unique merchandise for Thoughts of a Colored Man, beginning previews at the John Golden Theatre on October 1.
