BIO

Donna Lynne Champlin is an actress, singer, and writer best known for starring as Paula Proctor on The CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, appearing in all 62 episodes of the critically acclaimed musical comedy series. Her television credits also include The First Lady, The Perfect Couple, Batman: Caped Crusader, The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Younger, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Blacklist, Elsbeth, Another Period, The Good Doctor, Centaurworld, Submissions Only, and Super Duper Bunny League. Her film work includes Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Downsizing, Yes, God, Yes, and Feel the Beat.


On Broadway, Champlin has appeared in James Joyce's The Dead, By Jeeves, Hollywood Arms, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Billy Elliot the Musical. Her Off-Broadway credits include My Life with Albertine, See Rock City & Other Destinations, and The Loved Ones at Irish Repertory Theatre. She also starred as Mrs. Lovett in Hangar Theatre's 2021 production of Sweeney Todd.
