Inspired by Samuel Taylor Coleridge's classic The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Albatross brings Coleridge's tortured seaman into the present day to recount one man's doomed journey on the open sea. A fast paced adventure filled with sea battles, storms, and ice-bound ships, Albatross uses visually thrilling stagecraft powered by the latest multimedia technology to bring The Mariner into the modern world.

Benjamin Evett Launches New Company With Solo MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM
Internationally acclaimed actor Benjamin Evett takes on the whole gallery of characters in Shakespeare's shimmering comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream. The production is the first offering of a new theatre company Evett is heading, called Queen Mab - a Micro-Theatre. Four performances will be staged from December 13-15 at the Multicultural Arts Center, 41 Second Street in Cambridge.

With the term a?oewitch hunta?? being bandied about ad nauseam in our national discourse, it seems an ideal moment to look back upon the actual witch hunt that occurred in Essex County, Massachusetts, at the end of the 17th century. SALTONSTALL'S TRIAL: THE SALEM WITH TRIAL'S UNTOLD STORY, a new play by Michael Cormier and Myriam Cyr at the Larcom Theatre in Beverly, does just that. It is a smart, ambitious production with a commanding performance by Elliot Norton and IRNE Award-winning actor Benjamin Evett in the title role and a 20-member ensemble representing the accused women, town residents, clergy, and officers of the Court.

With that backdrop, it's popularity was unexpected, yet it ran for 1,217 performances and won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Seems like an ideal time for a remount of the story of our Founding Fathers, and the New Repertory Theatre production has found a formula to make it fresh, exhilarating, and inclusive.

He can only avoid death by proving that he is guilty of fraud.
