Ben Strothmann is an actor, playwright, and theatrical photographer known from his work covering Broadway theater for Playbill (Broadway Yearbook) and BroadwayWorld.com. His autobiographical play, Coming Clean, marks his debut as a playwright and solo performer. Ben is also known for his alter-ego, Honey LaBronx, host of The Vegan Drag Queen cooking show and the podcast Big Fat Vegan Radio. Honey tours the world with her solo drag show raising funds for local charitable organizations. Ben also uses his drag persona to speak out about animal rights and various social justice issues.

Ben Strothmann performed his first solo play, Coming Clean, on Wednesday, June 27th at the Kraine Theater as part of the Queerly Festival. The show was directed by Mark Finley. As 2020 thwarted his plans to mount a New York production of the show, he is instead offering a recording of his 2018 Kraine Theater performance as an online virtual theatrical event until March 20th.

Back by popular demand, the acclaimed revival of James McLure's comedy LONE STAR opens Friday, June 7th at the 13th Street Repertory Theatre (50 W 13th St- between Fifth and Sixth Avenues) for eight performances only including June 8th, June 13th, June 14th and June 15th at 7:30 pm with matinees on June 9th and June 16th at 3:00 pm. The play, which received audience and critical acclaim from its 2017 production highlights rising star Matt de Rogatis as the lead and features the all female band The Chalks with Broadway actor Leenya Rideout.
