Manhattan Theatre Club's critically acclaimed production of Adam Bock's The Receptionist has been extended by popular demand through Sunday, December 30 at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).
The Receptionist started previews on Friday, October 12 and opened on Tuesday, October 30 to acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
Directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Blackbird, Take Me Out), the cast features: Josh Charles ("Sports Night"), Robert Foxworth (Twelve Angry Men), Tony Award nominee Jayne Houdyshell (Well), and Kendra Kassebaum (Wicked).
"At the start of a typical day in the Northeast Office, Beverly deals effortlessly with ringing phones and her colleague's romantic troubles. But the appearance of a charming rep from the Central Office disrupts the friendly routine. And as the true nature of the company's business becomes apparent, The Receptionist raises disquieting, provocative questions about the consequences of complicity with evil," explain press notes.
The creative team for The Receptionist includes: David Korins (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Brian MacDevitt (lighting design), Darron L West (sound design), and David Caparelliotis (casting).
Performance Schedule through December 23: Tuesday - Saturday at 8PM; Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2PM.
