SOUTHERN REP ANNOUNCES OPEN AUDITIONS FOR

VENUS IN FUR BY DAVID IVES

New Orleans - Southern Rep Theatre will be holding open auditions for David Ives' VENUS IN FUR November 7, 2012 from 4pm-6:30pm.  VENUS IN FUR will open as the first production of the Southern Rep's 26th Mainstage Season.  Performed at the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans, VENUS IN FUR will run January 9-24, 2013. 

For the role of THOMAS: Seeking male, 20s/30s.  Smart, Sharp, Vulnerable.

For the role of VANDA: Seeking female, 20s.  Ambitious, Calculating, Articulate, Sexy. 

AUDITION SCHEDULE & LOCATION:

Wednesday, November 7, 4pm-6:30pm:  OPEN CALL

Location: Southern Rep, One Canal Place, 4^th Floor, rehearsal room.

PARKING:  Parking at Canal Place will be validated $2 for 4 hours.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:  Audition sides will be provided.  Actors should bring a headshot and résumé.  Rehearsals will be held December and January.

PERFORMANCE DATES & TIMES:  VENUS IN FUR January 9-12 at 7:30pm, January 16-18 at 7:30pm, January 23-24 at 7:30pm.  January 19 at 2pm.  Sunday performances will be held at 2pm & 6pm.  

Performances will be held at the CAC, 900 Camp Street,  New Orleans.
