NO DOGS ALLOWED! - Columbus Children's Theatre Non Equity Auditions

Columbus Children’s Theatre will hold open auditions for No Dogs Allowed! with Book by Sonia Manzano, Music by Stephen Lawrence, Lyrics by Billy Aronson and based on the book by Sonia Manzano.Auditions will be held Sunday September 9 and Monday September 10, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Columbus Children’s Theatre studio located at 177 East Naghten St Columbus 43215.  Call-back auditions will be held on Tuesday September 11th at the same time and location. This production will be directed by William Goldsmith. Actors should come with a prepared song and sheet music.  Please bring a current resume and a photograph. Readings will be from the script. No Dogs Allowed! performances will begin Thursday November 1, 2012 and will run through Sunday November 11, 2012.  Rehearsals will be held Sunday through Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. beginning September 14, 2012.  For more information please call (614) 224-6672 or visit us online atwww.columbuschildrenstheatre.org  

 

This is the story of Iris, a bright 8-year old, who lives “in a place called the Bronx, in the Kingdom of 3^rdAvenue…in the Land of New York City”, with her family and her dog El Exigente.  One bright day, the family decides to take a trip to the Enchanted State Park and Iris is determined to bring her beloved El Exigente, even though there are ‘No Dogs Allowed’.  With a cast of unique characters, No Dogs Allowed! is a brilliant new musical adapted from “Sesame Street’s” Sonia Manzano’s best selling children’s book of the same name.
