KNUFFLE BUNNY: A CAUTIONARY MUSICAL - Columbia Children's Theatre Non Equity Auditions

Columbia Children’s Theatre (CCT), the Midlands' professional theatre for families and young audiences, will hold auditions for its upcoming production “Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical” on Sunday November 11, at 6:00 p.m. The production will be directed by Chad Henderson.

WHO:  Male and female adult actors to play characters ranging in age from three years old to forty.

WHERE: Columbia Children’s Theatre, on the second floor of Richland Mall (3400 Forest Drive). Parking is available in the garage on Level 2-L.

HOW: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Also, please prepare a verse and chorus of a song that shows your range, to be sung a capella.  If you have any puppeteering experience, please let us know.

All roles are paid. Performances are primarily on the weekends, April 12 - 21, 2013, with some weekday morning school shows.

About the production:
CCT is among the first group of theatres in the country to perform Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical , which was just released for production this year. The production will be directed by Chad Henderson, director of last season's wildly successful Pinkalicious The Musical.

Chock full of adventure, song and gigantic dancing laundry, KNUFFLE BUNNY: A CAUTIONARY MUSICAL tells a tale of firsts: a stuffed animal’s first trip in the laundry, a little girl’s first words and a Daddy’s first time dealing with his child going “boneless.” Based on his beloved Caldecott Honor–winning picture book, six-time Emmy Award winner Mo Willems joins Grammy Award–winning composer Michael Silversher to lovingly celebrate the heart and heartache that can only come from a family visit to the local laundromat. We mentioned the giant dancing laundry, right?
