Bay City Players will hold auditions for its upcoming production; It’s a Wonderful Life Radio Show, adapted by Philip Grecian, on Sunday and Monday, October 7th & 8th, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.   Auditions will be held at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City.   Directed by Elizabeth Dewey.

Performance dates are November 30, December 1-2 & 6-9, 2012.   Director Elizabeth Dewey is looking for:

3 women to play early 20's to mid-60’s

7 men to play early 20's to 60

2 boys

2 girls

3-4 Foley artists—the sound effects people who are on stage and produce all the show’s sound  Those interested in the sound contact Bay City Players at any time to contact the director.

This is a voice play. All actors will play multiple roles and must be able to use multiple voices.

THE PLOT:  That favorite Christmas movie, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, comes alive on stage as a full-blown radio show. The same wonderful story of George Bailey, his angel friend Clarence, and what George’s life has really meant to the people of Bedford Falls will welcome the Christmas season properly with this recreation of a radio broadcast on stage. Our audience becomes the radio audience, enjoying not only the heart-warming story and beloved characters, but also the delight of watching actors change voices and characters at a moment’s notice and seeing sound as they have never heard it before with the tricks of radio sound effects. A perfect family Christmas treat. (Family fare)

Those auditioning will be asked to read selections from the script.
