INTO THE WOODS - Woodbury Community Theatre Non Equity Auditions

production of Stephen Sondheim's Tony-Award winning musical, Into the Woods. A cast

of 20 women and men, ages 16-adult, is required for this vocally-challenging production

which will be directed by Lenore Weir, with musical director Michael White. Interested cast

members should sign-up for an audition time below, and bring music for a 36-bar vocal

audition (accompanist provided). A reading may also be required, however there is no

dance audition. Cast members should come with experience in 4-part singing and be

prepared for the musical complexity and excitement that defines a Sondheim musical.

Please also bring your conflicts with the rehearsal scheduleas outlined below.

AUDITIONS:

Auditions are Tuesday, July 31 and Wednesday, August 1 from 6:30pm to 10pm with

callbacks on Thursday, August 2. Please sign up for a 10-minute audition appointment

Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time, and prepare to stay 30 minutes

past your time, should we run behind. People will be notified if they are being called back.

NOT being called back does not mean you are not cast. Often times, only certain parts

need call backs. We will let all auditioners know theresults via email no later than

Monday, August 6. 

REHEARSALS:

Rehearsals beginthe week of August 20 and will be held Monday-Friday evenings.

PERFORMANCES:

Performances are October 5, 6, 11,12, 13 at 7:30pm and October 7 at 3:00pm.

LOCATIONS:

Auditions and rehearsals will be held at the Merrill Community Arts Center, 380 Rivertown

Drive, #200, Woodbury, MN 55125. Performances are held at the Loft Stage, East Ridge

High School, 4200 Pioneer Drive, Woodbury, MN 55129.
