HAIRSPRAY - Opera House Players Non Equity Auditions

AUDITIONS for: HAIRSPRAY the musical

Company: Opera House Players, Broad Brook, CT (part of East Windsor, CT) www.operahouseplayers.org

Audition Dates: Monday, October 15^th at 7:00 PM and Wednesday, October 17th at 7:00 PM. Callbacks on Monday, October 22nd at 7:00 PM.

Performance Dates of the show: February 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 2013

Please prepare: 32 bars of an up tempo song 16 bars of ballad (preferably not fromHairspray) bring sheet music – accompanist will be provided.  Dress and be prepared to dance.  Bring resume & head shot if you have them.  “Sell us” your song.  Bring schedule to determine schedule conflicts.

Roles: 25 roles total.  13 women total (5 black women). 12 men total (4 black men).

Rehearsals: rehearsals begin Nov. 12^th with a week off for the end of the year holidays.
