FUN & NOBODY - STAGEStheatre

Fun & Nobody Two short plays by Howard Korder Directed by Jeffrey Kieviet Auditions will be held on Saturday, February 16th from 10am to 2pm ... Written by the acclaimed author of the 1988 coming-of-age play, "Boy's Life," and currently writing for "Boardwalk Empire" (HBO)

FUN: Two bored teenagers look for a good time in their small city of tacky shopping malls and fast-food outlets. Told in a series of short, fast-moving scenes, with biting, dialogue capturing both the laid-back and the pseudo sophistication of the boys, the action of the play follows them, boom-box in hand, as they move from one locale to another in search of excitement, sex, booze, drugs, or whatever. In NOBODY, Carl loses his well-paying factory job and as his family life plunges into turmoil, he finds his growing despair leads to drinking, violence, and the eventual destruction of his marriage.

Performs: Saturdays & Sundays @ 5pm, May 4th – May 25th Rehearses: Monday – Wednesday, 7pm – 10pm beginning March 4th Please bring a photo, resume and be prepared to read sides from the script (provided at auditions). There is no pay.
