ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE - Windham Theatre Guild Non Equity Auditions

Auditions-Always, Patsy Cline

Auditions will be held on Tuesday & Wednesday, September 4 & 5, 2012 at 7 PM at Windham Middle School, Quarry Street, Willimantic. The show will be directed by Victor Funderburk with Music Direction by Ken Clark. The show dates are November 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16 & 17, 2012 at the Burton Leavitt Theatre with a special benefit performance on November 4th.

Audition will include vocal, acting and improvisational sequences. Prepare a musical number for the vocal audition. Piano accompaniment will be provided. Readings from the script will be provided that evening.

Needed:

Patsy Cline, the legendary country singer: This role is vocally demanding, singing lead on over 20 songs. The ideal candidate sounds like Patsy Cline.

Louise Seger, fan of Patsy Cline: This is a large acting role with lots of monologues. We are looking for a great actress.

Back-up Singers: Four back-up singers needed, two male and two female.

Bedtime Stories by Norm Foster

The WTG presents another very clever comedy by Norm Foster, the Canadian Neil Simon. Six different scenes all feature a bed as their primary focus. A shock radio jock pays a couple to make love on the air. A woman visits a dying man she feels she hurt years ago. Two men rob a house and discover a shocking secret. An aging rock star is confronted by a groupie. An accident-prone stripper meets with her no-nonsense boss. A woman leaving her husband lectures the movers on the proper way to treat a lady. The show runs from September 14th to 23rd.
