ACT Live!

Open auditions for the Waukesha Civic Theatre’s production of ACT Live! will be held:

• Monday, December 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

No appointment is necessary. Auditions will be held at the Waukesha Civic Theatre Building at 264 West Main Street, Waukesha.  The audition will consist of improvisational theatre games and scene exercises.  There will be no reading from the script.

It takes a talented group of students to write, produce and perform a sketch comedy show. It takes an outrageously talented group to do it all in only two weeks! Come out and support this outstanding and hilarious WCT tradition and see what the next generation of sketch comedy looks like.

This program is a unique opportunity for young performers ages 9-19 to collaborate on writing, producing and performing a sketch comedy show. Students will develop, rehearse and perform short scenes as part of a live sketch comedy show. This process will not only challenge students’ focus and creativity, but it will provide them with firsthand experience of what it takes to put together an entire show. It is an exhilarating and incredibly rewarding experience.

All roles are open.

10-16 roles available for boys and girls ages 9-19.

ACT Live! will be performed twice for the general public at the Waukesha Janboree on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Doug Jarecki is directing.
