Michael J. Moritz, Jr. to Take 'US Broadway Coaching Tour' to 15 Cities This Fall

Two time Tony Award nominated producer, two time Grammy Award nominated record producer and internationally acclaimed Music Director/Pianist Michael J. Moritz Jr. announces US Coaching Tour, spanning 15 cities over 45 days this October-November. Sessions are available for all ages and skill level.

Drawing upon his vast experience in both Broadway and the recording industry, Michael brings a unique knowledge and working experience to each private coaching session.

All coachings are one-on-one, multifaceted sessions tailored to the participant's requests. Possible areas of focus include vocal technique for theater, vocal technique for pop, building your best belt, fixing the mix, auditioning skills, casting and booking, book prep, finding representation and management, college audition prep recording and arranging critique, industry Q&A, skills assessment and long term career planning.

Most recently, Michael has received both Tony Award, Drama Desk, and Olivier award nominations as Co-Producer for Broadway/West End's Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Other notable Broadway producing credits include Big Fish, A Night With Janis Joplin, On The Town, and The Velocity of Autumn. Michael is a Grammy Award nominated record producer for the Broadway and Pop industry. Critically acclaimed records include NBC's Peter Pan Live - Executive Producer, Matilda - Original Broadway Cast Recording - Associate Producer ­- Grammy Nomination, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical - Original Broadway Cast Recording - Producer - Grammy Winner, On The Town - Broadway Revival - Producer. Michael has also produced records for dozens of top level artists including Aaron Tveit, Sierra Boggess, Norbert Leo Butz, Bebe Neuwirth, and Micky Dolenz.

Michael has musically directed 200+ theatrical productions throughout the US and UK. Known as the 'Musical Director to the Stars,' Michael has received high praise for his music direction and performance piano work in both Broadway and Pop arenas. Michael was last seen on the Broadway stage as on-stage piano and vocals in A Night With Janis Joplin. Michael has music directed and performed with notable performers including Stephen Schwartz, Mark Shaiman, Frank Wildhorn, Micky Dolenz, Tituss Burgess, Ace Young, Diana DeGarmo, Michael Cerveris, Norbert Leo Butz, Lena Hall, Robin DeJesus, Andrea McArdle, Chip Zien, Billy Magnussen, Lilla Crawford, Jeff Goldblum, Tiffany, Richard Kind, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Laura Osnes, Lesli Margherita, The Muppets, Sesame Street, Linda Eder, Mary Testa, Julia Murney, Nikki Blonsky, and Claybourne Elder.
