Last year, Chance Theater Resident Playwright Marshall Pailet directed his show, Triassic Parq - The Musical, which went on to win the Ovation Award for "Best Musical - Intimate Theatre." He also presented two other staged readings as part of our On The Radar New Play Series - Who's Your Baghdaddy or How I Started the Iraq War and a brand new creation - Loch Ness. The show was so new, in fact, that it wasn't even finished yet... until now. The staged reading of the newly complete Loch Ness will perform for one night only - Tuesday, May 13 at 8pm at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken Theater Arts Center.

What do you get when a 12 year old girl meets the world's most famous 1,000 year old mystical sea serpent? Soul mates, of course! Meet Haley Westerbrook, a young girl who has just met "Nessie"... and nothing's ever going to be the same. See the family musical about the power of imagination from the writer of Triassic Parq - The Musical.

The cast for this staged reading includes Chance founding artist Erika C. Miller, resident artist Jackson Tobiska, as well as Emma Nossal, Katie Brown, Davon Williams, Brandon Sanchez, Matt Takahashi and John Scoggins.

The reading will be directed by Janet Roston, and musically directed by Ryan O'Connell.

"On the Radar" Series at Chance Theater is a collection of intimate readings of bold new works currently in development. Each season, OTR produces two readings of new plays from our Resident Playwright. By presenting these works in-progress to our audiences, OTR provides an exclusive opportunity for our artists and audience members to theatrically explore and give feedback on projects rehearsing only three to five days. Running alongside the Mainstage season, performances are on Tuesday evenings and are usually one-night-only events. Tickets are complimentary for subscribers and members.
