L.A. Connection Comedy Theatre Coming to Beautiful Downtown Burbank, 6/15-19

After a successful 36 year run at their Ventura Blvd. location in Sherman Oaks, the renowned L.A. Connection Comedy Theatre (LAC) will bring their unique brand of hilarity to Beautiful Downtown Burbank. A Grand Opening at the new location is scheduled for the weekend of June 15-19, 2016, announced by LAC founder Kent Skov.

The newly-remodeled theatre is located at 3435 West Magnolia Blvd., two blocks east of Hollywood Way. LAC will keep the same performance schedule as their popular Sherman Oaks venue.

The iconic theatre company has helped launch the careers of several top performers, including Will Ferrell, Chris Kattan, Matthew Perry, Jon Lovitz, Shannon Elizabeth, Hank Azaria, Sharon Lawrence and Josh Groban. Fred Willard's Moho Sketch Group celebrating their 18th year are now making the new LAC Theatre home. The legendary Spolin Players, now in their 53rd year are also making LAC their home.

Voted "Best Improv Group" 3 years in a row by MyFoxLA.com, LAC will continue to perform their popular weekly improv shows and twice monthly stand up shows Thursday through Sunday. Other awards for LAC include: "Best Comedy Club" 3 of the last 4 years by City Voter, Best of Yelp (4.5 rating or higher) 6 years in a row, picked as one of the top 3 comedy clubs in southern California by KABC TV and City Search, "Best Bets" by LA Times and "Pick of the Week" by LA Weekly.

Four time Emmy nominee Fred Willard is established as one of our generation's most gifted comic actors and sketch artists. An alumni of the fames Second City, he is also a founder of the classic comedy group the Ace Trucking Company. He has appeared on The Tonight Showwith Jay Leno over 100 times. He's also appeared in over seventy films and received awards for his performances in Waiting for Guffmanand Best in Show. The current members of the Spolin Players were the last group to be directed by Viola Spolin, known as "The High Priestess of Improv." Cast credits include SNL, Second City, The Simpsons, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Real Time With Bill Maher.

Beyond Stand-Up performing at L.A. Connection since 1993.Graduates of Steve and Barb North's group have appeared on Letterman, Kimmel, various sitcoms, winners of festivals and headliners in clubs all around the World. Thursday, 8:30pm

Mad Movies & More hosted by Kent Skov rolls in classic clips dubbed with hilarious new comedy soundtracks. Clips include: The Andy Griffith Show, Popeye, Superman, Speed Racer, Sherlock Holmes, Batman, The Blob, Reefer Madness, Night of the Living Dead and Ronald Reagan. Added to the repertoire is TMZ parody, TMC, totally made up clips. Friday, 7:00pm. One night only! Future Fridays at 7pm will be special events, call for schedule.

Comedy Improv for Kids by Teens now in its 12th year has been a huge hit with families and has a 4.9 rating on Goldstar Events. Saturday, 5:30pm

Spolin Players: the legendary Spolin Players are making LAC their home and are performing a 1 hour improv show Saturday, 7pm, one night only with only 3 other Saturday performances this year.

2001: An Improv Odyssey, LAC's flagship improv group featuring founder Kent Skov and a cast of 20 - 36 year veterans of L.A. Connection performing a "whose line is it anyway" style of fast paced improve games. Saturday, 9pm

Also the legendary Spolin Players, now in their 53rd year are making LAC their home and are performing a 1 hour improv show Saturday, June 18, at 7PM, and 4 other Saturday performances this year.
