Summer Stages: BWW's Top Summer Theatre Picks - Long Island!

The Long Island theatre season is certainly shaping up well. The nightlife on long island is always hopping and the theatre scene is a huge part of that.

First off we have the John W. Engeman Theatre in Northport with South Pacific kicking off Memorial weekend. That is followed by Nunsense, Twelve Angry Men, White Christmas, Other Desert Cities, Miss Saigon, and ending with Plaza Suite. The Engeman always serves top notch shows. BroadHollow also has a fun season ahead with Monty Python's Spamalot, Butterflies are Free, Making God Laugh, Fiddler on the Roof, and Lucky Stiff. These interesting productions will be traveling between their BayWay and Elmont locations. BroadHollow will also be presenting RFK, Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating & Marriage, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at their Lindenhurst Studio Theatre location. Theatre Three, located in beautiful Port Jefferson, also has an exciting season. For the Summer, they have their Sizzling Summer Concert Series with weekly performances by great Long Island cover bands. Then come September, they kick off their regular Main Stage productions with LES MISERABLES, A Christmas Carol, Starting Here, Starting Now, Crossing Delancey, Bingo! - The Winning Musical, and ending with Master Class. Bellport's Gateway Playhouse always has fantastic productions and this season will be no exception. Theirs kicks off Memorial Weekend with Grease! followed by Mel Brook's Young Frankenstein, Singin' In The Rain, ending with Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story.
