The story tells the epic story of the bandit Rinaldo Dragonera acting in eastern Sicily, in the area of Catania. Rinaldo is a sort of Robin Hood who steals from the rich to help the underprivileged. Angelica falls in love with him, a Sicilian noblewoman who supports the cause of Garibaldi....
