In a week filled with another flurry of announcements, the CDC's announcement loosening mask wearing guidelines for fully vaccinated individuals solidified the reopening timeline for many theatres. While this is causing adjustments to seating plans (towards higher capacity), planning for bringing back company members, and more - the news was more than welcome by most in the entertainment industry. Also welcome? The return to the stage in the West End - happy reopening day to our industry friends in the UK!

The West End Returns Today - With Social Distancing, Hopefully for Good

After a series of false starts throughout the pandemic, the West End is set to reopen today with social distancing, and assuming no changes, without social distancing later this summer. Working with civil rights lawyer Kaia Lyons, the policy is designed to fill in the gaps where federal employment laws fall short in the theatre industry, typically as it relates to companies with a small number of employees.
