BWW Blog: Stephanie Martignetti of Broadway's NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT - Cookies, Lingerie & Joe Torre! by Steph Martignetti - September 26, 2012
Saturday was quite an eventful day at "Nice Work"! I walked into the girls' dressing room to what looked like Christmas morning. Kelli O'Hara brought up a giant bag filled with dresses she didn't want anymore. We had a ball trying on all the clothes and almost everyone ended up bringing something home! (more...)

BWW Blog: Stephanie Martignetti of Broadway's NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT - Mom and Pizza! by Steph Martignetti - September 21, 2012
Wednesday I got to midtown for my matinee a little early and decided to go visit my mom at work. I walked up to window 9 at TKTS and waved "hi". Yup, TKTS is my Mom's office! I swear it's totally unrelated to the fact that I do what I do. She's a main reason why we are selling so well. Just kidding, TKTS employees aren't allowed to promote or recommend specific shows, but their kids can! Every time I visit my Mom at work I inevitably turn into a crazy person, butting into people's conversations and shouting at tourists about how they should DEFIINITELY go see "Nice Work". However, I am learning to control myself, and I am proud to report I didn't harass any theatergoers this recent visit. (more...)

BWW Blog: Stephanie Martignetti of Broadway's NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT - Friends, Costumes & Cannolis! by Steph Martignetti - September 19, 2012
Saturday was our two show day. Before I went to work, I hung out with my friend Natalie Hall who was in from LA staying with me for the week. She, and the emerging star of this blog, my roommate's dog Radley, formed quite a friendship over the course of the week. Every morning I would peer into the living room to see Radley claiming his space on top of a snoozing Natalie. (more...)

BWW Blog: Stephanie Martignetti of Broadway's NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT - New Shirt! by Steph Martignetti - September 14, 2012
Wednesday was a pretty typical two show day. My boyfriend, Dominic, asked me to stop by his office in midtown to see him after the matinee, so that's what I did. When I got there I noticed he was holding a bag from a local store at Penn State. Turns out he ordered me a new PSU tshirt! It was an extra thoughtful gift because they are only selling this style in State College right now. Bet you can guess what I'll be wearing this Saturday! (more...)

BWW Blog: Stephanie Martignetti of Broadway's NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT - Weekend Fun! by Steph Martignetti - September 12, 2012
Friday night after the show I walked down the street to Evita and met up with my friend, Erica Mansfield. We hopped into a cab and made our way east to Biblioteca to grab a drink in honor, Evan, Julie Kotaride's fiance's, 30th birthday. Birthday cheer and margaritas hit the spot. (more...)

From the Artistic Director: CYRANO DE BERGERAC by Roundabout Theatre Company - September 11, 2012
In a new translation by Ranjit Bolt under the direction of Jamie Lloyd, Cyrano de Bergerac marks our first production at the American Airlines Theatre this season in a production that will leave you breathless. Jamie is making his Broadway directorial debut with this production, and he has no interest in entering the scene quietly. Obviously, I'm perfectly aware that Cyrano is not a piece that has been neglected on big stages in recent years. However, when a director has an exciting new vision for this kind of enduring story, with new ways of looking at iconic scenes and characters, it's foolish to let timing stand in the way. Believe me, you may have seen Cyrano before, but you've never seen it like this. (more...)

BWW Blog: Stephanie Martignetti in Broadway's NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT - Summer Reflections by Steph Martignetti - September 05, 2012
Fall is my favorite season hands down, but before we are filled to the brim with candy corn, apples, pumpkin lattes and (in my case) birthday cake (Oct 9th is my bday!) I figured I would take this entry to reflect on what an outrageously special and exciting summer it's been! (more...)

BWW Blog: Touring MARY POPPINS' Nicolas Dromard - Day #7 by Nicolas Dromard - September 03, 2012
When I left Mary Poppins in February I never thought that I would be coming back to it. Clearly we can't predict the future! In this crazy business of show that we are part of, there are many ups and down, a roller coaster of emotions and of adventures. All we can do is strap in and enjoy the ride. I've had an incredible time in Los Angeles, made some new friends in this cast and was able to catch up with a lot of old ones. (more...)

BWW Blog: Touring MARY POPPINS' Nicolas Dromard - Day #6 by Nicolas Dromard - September 02, 2012
Funny thing about LA: celebrities live here and we are surrounded by them. They are just like you and me, normal people doing what they love to do, but they are thrusted into the public eye and we recognize them, ask for photos and autographs and then we feel content that we met that person and got a memento. (more...)

BWW Blog: Touring MARY POPPINS' Nicolas Dromard - Day #1 by Nicolas Dromard - August 28, 2012
So I woke up today and had the great pleasure of going to a photo shoot for this really cool project called 'Words with Friends' (no relation to the mobile game that is like Scrabble). You can check out the photos at http://www.wordswithfriendsproject.com/. Mine will probably be posted in the next few days. I'll make sure to tweet them (my twitter name is nicolasdromard). The shoot took just 45 minutes. I had to come up with some sayings to write on my body, things that I wanted to say, that mattered to me. You'll be able to read them soon. It was fun and the photographer, Adrien, who is also the creator of the project, was so sweet. (more...)
