Setting: Present-day North Korea and NYC. Two North Korean sisters—facing starvation at the hands of a dizzyingly corrupt regime—make a bargain with a smuggler to flee to the US. When one of the sisters is denied passage, the other makes a promise to race across time and space to save her.
Seeking (all roles are available):
Yuna:
Asian woman, 30s. She is relatively healthier and stronger than her sister, Minjee.
Minjee:
Asian woman, 30s. She is weaker than her sister, Yuna, and unable to flee North Korea.
Tiffany:
Mid 40s. She is a cheerful office drone.
The Smuggler:
Asian man, mid 30s. He is a money-grubber with a disturbing gold smile.
The Doctor / The Husband / The Salesperson:
Asian males, mid 30s, played by one actor Asian. Doctor: Loyal North Korean doctor. Husband: Tiffany’s devout husband. Salesperson: Fast-talking cell phone salesperson.
The Man From The South:
Mid 30s. He is from a place where words are not in so much of a hurry—like Georgia.
