Equity audition procedures are NOT in effect. No Equity monitor provided. Producer runs all aspects of the audition.
Note: Typing will occur at these auditions. If you have been seen for this show in the past 6 months, you do not need to attend.
Be prepared to sing 16 bars of a contemporary musical theater power ballad.
Bring sheet music in correct key; accompanist provided but may not transpose.
Bring picture and resume, stapled together.
ALL ACTORS WILL BE SIGNED ON AS ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGERS. Actors must be available to audition, rehearse, and perform in NYC. No Housing provided.
ALL CHARACTERS MUST SING & DANCE.
This is an updated version of The Wizard of Oz, set to a contemporary Latin rhythm. All actors should be able to speak scripted Spanish comfortably.
Ethnic performers strongly encouraged to submit.
Seeking:
Female Understudy:
18+ female to understudy 3 tracks. Musical Theatre/Pop Soprano Belter. Covers three female roles, each playing multiple parts, including:
- Dora: a 15 year old on a journey
- La Maga: a fantastic pop Diva, and
- La Bruja: a fabulous, tango dancing witch.
Seeking a performer of any ethnicity, however should be believable as a first generation Mexican-American. Actress should be 5’4”-5’8” tall.
