The first New York production of the original show since 1961!

NYC auditions will be held Friday November 12, 2010, from 11am – 4pm, at Ripley Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave., 16th Floor.

For the auditions: Be prepared with 16 bars of a song in the style of early 1960s Broadway. Sides may also be provided.

Show Description: Wildcat, with music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and book by N. Richard Nash, tells the story of a frontier woman named Wildcat “Wildy” Jackson who arrives in a border town in the American southwest with dreams of striking oil, and tricks foreman Joe Dynamite into helping her. Features songs such as “Hey Look Me Over”, “You've Come Home” and “Corduroy Road”

This special one-night-only event, starring Luba Mason and Robert Cuccioli, will benefit the Actors Fund.

All ethnicities encouraged to submit. Especially seeking Hispanic and Latino actors.

Seeking:

Hank: Male 20s. Tenor. Hispanic. Supporting comedic role


Countess Emily O’Brien: Female 50s-70s. Any voice part. Supporting comedic role

Matt: Male Late 30s – 40s. Baritone. Featured role

Sandy: Male Late 20s – 30s. Baritone. Featured role

Corky: Early 20s Tenor. Featured role

Tattoo: Male 30s. Baritone. Featured role

Miguel: Male 30s-50s Any Voice Part. Hispanic. Featured role

Inez: Female 20s. Any voice part. Hispanic. Featured role

Ensemble:

Males 20s-40s, females 20s-40s. To play various speaking parts and ensemble roles. All are required to sing and perform basic dance steps.

Production Note: Required rehearsal schedule will involve two full days of rehearsal depending on your role (December 15, 16, 17) and one day of tech day of performance (12/19). Script and score will be distributed upon casting.
