The following applies to all:
Caucasian, male or female. Must have strong musical facility in contemporary pop, rock, punk and hip-hop. Overall we're looking for strong"groove" playing, a modern sound, solid music reading skills and a cool young look. Musicality and ability to follow a conductor are a necessity, as well as a full understanding of the world of"pop" music and live theater. Must have musical accuracy, showmanship and the ability to maintain a characterization throughout the show.
If cast you may be required to shave your head or dye or alter your hairstyle drastically. Some general artists/bands to refer to for style: Linkin Park, Eminem, Ramones, Paramore, Jay-Z, Gaga, The Misfits, My Chemical Romance, Katy Perry, Cheap Trick, Pink, Queen.
The 5 roles are specifically:
GUITARIST: Bring electric and acoustic guitars with you. Expect to play rhythm, lead and acoustic.
BASS PLAYER: Bring 4 or 5 string electric basses.
KEYBOARD PLAYER: Both"pop" and theatre skills are required. Conducting skills are a plus.
DRUMMER: Be prepared to play in all styles above. Modern sound and pocket are a necessity. Must read drum notation.
GUITARIST/KEYBOARD: This is a true guitar/keyboard role. Be convincing on both. Conducting skills a plus. Both"pop" and theatre skills are required. Bring electric and acoustic guitars. Expect to play rhythm, lead and acoustic.

Preparation
Please prepare to play 1 song in a 'lite rock' style and 1 song in a 'heavy metal' style. If you sing, please sing and play simultaneously. You will be asked to sight-read instrumental music. Bring headshot and resume.

Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
Always bring your Equity Membership Card to auditions.
