This is a musical. All actors must be funny, quirky, versatile performers along the lines of Saturday Night Live or Forbidden Broadway. All actors must be strong singers with a pop sensibility. Ethnic performers encouraged to submit.

These are not the founding fathers you know from the history books, but 4 rockin’ revolutionaries, America’s original boy band, who travel in time to teach Dawn about the importance of the American Government.

**note- performers do not play instruments in the show**

SEEKING:

George Washington:

(male, 18+, baritenor) charismatic leader (and lead singer) of the Founding Fathers rock band. He makes girls swoon.

Thomas Jefferson:

(male, 18+, rock tenor) The romantic of the group. He’s a rock star and he knows it. And he’s not afraid to put on a dress if it helps make a point.

John Adams:

(male, 18+, high tenor to B with very strong falsetto) pugnacious and quick tempered. And he can rap. He’s a pretty cool dude. He’s the drummer for the band.

Benjamin Franklin:

(male 18+, baritone) He may never have been president, but this is one smart guy. The quirky one.

Dawn:

(African American woman, 18+ to play 14, soprano with high mix belt to F,) smart, driven, fiercely competitive and ambitious, like Tracy Flick from Election or Rachel Berry from Glee.
