Please prepare a comedic monologue, 2 minutes or less.

Seeking (all roles are available):


Marla Breen:

40s-50s, any ethnicity. Office worker. Nondescript and forgettable, but with a rich inner life. OCD; quietly runs an entire office building.

Lisa:

Late 30s – 40s, any ethnicity. Scientist. Secretive. A workaholic; she is results-oriented and believes the ends justify the means.

Susan:

20s, any ethnicity. A temp and a poet. On the verge of a breakdown and barely holding it together; she’s trying desperately to be a responsible adult.

Simi:

African American woman, 30s. Researcher. Repressing a righteous rage. Values intellect over emotion. Has a strong moral compass.

The Provocatrix:

Female character, any age, any ethnicity. Slightly androgynous. A trickster goddess. Mutable, gleeful, chaotic. Performer should be able to do a range of dialects.
