KEN LUDWIG'S MORIARTY: A NEW SHERLOCK HOLMES ADVENTURE

SYNOPSIS: “Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are back on the case! An investigation into the Bohemian king’s stolen letters cascades into an international mystery filled with spies, blackmail, and intrigue. With world peace at stake, Holmes and Watson join forces with American actress Irene Adler to take down cunning criminal mastermind Professor Moriarty and his network of devious henchmen. Five actors play over 40 roles in this brand new adventure that has danger—and laughter!—around every corner.” - kenludwig.com

SEEKING:

TRACK ONE (30s-40s, male/male presenting) - Sherlock Holmes: Highly intelligent, confident, quick witted, and obsessive. Lives to solve mysteries and discover the truth. Thinks very highly of his close friend Watson.

TRACK TWO (30s-40s, any gender) - Dr. Watson: Smart, grounded, and full of heart. Doctor Watson is full of wonder. They live to have adventures and assist their close friend Holmes.

TRACK THREE (30s-40s, any gender) - Shows great versatility both physically and vocally. Doubles as multiple roles including Perkins, Otto Von Ormstein (King of Bohemia), Moriarty (suspected criminal, Holmes former mentor, and the reason he became a detective), Mrs. Gasner (sure of herself, respectable shop owner), Porter (always on the move, aggressive, rude), Conductor, Paddy Keys (best locksmith in the business, a lively criminal), Nefertiti (Holmes and Watson’s cat), Mycroft Holmes (Holmes’s brother, equally as brainy if not more than Sherlock), Lestrade (cocky police inspector), A rough with a bludgeon, Bartender (cocky)

TRACK FOUR (20s-30s, female/female presenting) - Shows great versatility both physically and vocally. Doubles as multiple roles including Irene Adler (a beautiful American actress involved in an affair with the King of Bohemia), Mrs. Hudson (older, maternal housekeeper for Holmes), and Cartwright (scrappy Dickensian urchin boy)

TRACK FIVE (20s-30s, any gender) - Shows great versatility both physically and vocally. Doubles as multiple roles including Hacek (a henchman of Moriarty), Daisy (shy housekeeper for Holmes), Milker (scrappy Dickensian urchin boy), Vicar (loves crossword puzzles, a bit clueless), Mrs. Barabas (works with Moriarty, has a chip on her shoulder), Hilda Klebb (housekeeper at the Bohemian embassy, always has a scowl on her face), Toby (excellent tracker bloodhound dog), Cab Driver, Hans (local boy)

THE AMISH PROJECT

SYNOPSIS: The Amish Project is a fictional exploration of the Nickel Mines schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community, and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake. - Concord Theatricals

Note: This play is a fictional exploration of a real event that took place on October 2, 2006 in Nickel Mines, PA. Characters are entirely fictional and are not meant to represent real people.

SEEKING:

PERFORMER: (20s-40s, female/female presenting) performs all the roles in the play. Distinctions between characters are made by changes in the tonal qualities and pitch of the actress' voice, through her stance, posture, and gesture. She glides fluidly from one personality to the next:

ANNA - Amish girl, age 14. Victim of the shooting.

CAROL STUCKEY - Widow of the gunman, age 31. English/ non-Amish.

VELDA - Amish girl, age 6. Sister of Anna. Victim of the shooting.

BILL NORTH - English/non-Amish man, 50s. Scholar and professor on Amish culture, as well as friend and spokesman to several Amish families affected by the shooting.

AMERICA - Hispanic girl, age 16. Pregnant. Works in the local grocery store.

EDDIE STUCKEY - The gunman of schoolhouse shooting, age 33. English/non-Amish. Killed himself at the end of the schoolhouse attack.

SHERRY LOCAL - English/non-Amish woman, age 53. Resident of Nickel Mines, PA.

THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE

SYNOPSIS: He's young, he's broke, his landlord's knocking at the door, and he's just found out his wife is going to have a baby. To make matters even more desperate, Casey is fired from his gig as an Elvis impersonator in a run-down, small-town Florida bar. When the bar owner brings in a B-level drag show to replace his act, Casey finds that he has a whole lot to learn about show business—and himself. - Dramatists Play Service.

CASEY (20s, male/male presenting) - White. An Elvis Presley impersonator. Optimistic, enthusiastic, naive. Sings and plays guitar.

JO (20s, female/female presenting) - African-American. Casey's wife, she often needs to reign in his optimism with a dose of reality. She is newly pregnant, stressed about finances, and in love.

MISS TRACY MILLS (40s-50s, male/male presenting) - Any ethnicity. An elegant drag queen. Eddie's cousin.

REXY/JASON (20s-30s, male/male presenting) - Any ethnicity. Also, a drag queen, but not an elegant one.

EDDIE (50s-60s, male/male presenting) - Any ethnicity. Tired, rough-around-the-edges owner of a tired Florida bar. Cousin of Miss Tracy Mills.

SYNOPSIS: Patrick Barlow, writer of the Broadway and West End hit The 39 Steps, has retold Charles Dickens’ holiday classic, A Christmas Carol. This thrilling adaptation uses only five actors to bring some of Dickens' most beloved characters to life. From Scrooge and Tiny Tim to Bob Cratchit and Mrs. Fezziwig, Barlow's A Christmas Carol uses nothing more than some simple props, fresh physicality, and the power of imagination to convey this timeless story of redemption. Witness Ebenezer Scrooge's transformation from a stingy miser to a man who generously celebrates the spirit of the season all year long, in this highly theatrical adaptation. - Concord Theatricals
