Seeking:
Mr. Matheno:
(Male, 30s)
Exhausted working-class intellectual. Faced with the challenge of taming and, ideally, educating a class full of increasingly volatile personalities while dealing with his own existential issues.
Principal Bungpedal & Mrs P:
(Offstage, Male & Female, sound like 40s- 50s)
Two bouncy balls of off-stage goofiness, full of cheesy, manic energy. These are benevolent, albeit silly and confused characters, who take enormous delight in using the school PA system to inform and entertain their captive audience.
Jerry:
(Male, 30s-50s)
Mentally challenged man-child or sinister conspirator? Introduced late in the play as a coerced prisoner, his senseless dialogue and impenetrable air of idiocy make him an enigma to the audience as well as the other characters. *This role could be great for someone with comedy experience
