Show 3:

Seeking 8 actors, all genders, all ages, to play multiple characters in a fast-paced physical romp around the globe. Physical skills (such as circus, clowning, etc) and comedy. This play requires a racially and ethnically diverse cast so we especially encourage actors of color to audition.

Actor 2: F, mid-late 20s, Asian

Actor 3: F, early 20s, white

Show 5:

Actor 1: any gender and race, ages 35-75

This poet may, in fact, be the poet; the story they tell may be the story. They have been around a long time and have told it for centuries. They arrive on this day to tell it again, hoping it is the last time. Though weary and worn, they maintain that human capacity for excitement and humor. This role calls for an actor to embrace the poetry of the language and to embody it fully as a kind of music. In telling the story, the Poet plays a range of roles, often one in dialogue with one another. Each must be distinct while flowing seamlessly in and out of the story.

Show 6:

Actors play multiple roles over a three part cycle. Actors should be comfortable with movement and excited about heightened language.

Actor 1 and Actor 2: M, 20-30s, any race

Actor 3: F, 20s-30s, any race

Actor 4: F/NB, 20s-30s, any race

Actor 5: F/NB, teens-20s, any race

Actor 6: M/NB, 30s-50s, any race

Actor 7, Actor 8 and Actor 9: any gender, 20s-60s, any race; good at developing multiple characters

Actor 10: M/NB, 30s-50s, any race; forceful

Actor 11: any gender, 30s-50s, any race; must have an excellent Ronald Reagan impression.

THEATREWORKS is committed to diversity and we encourage performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to attend every audition. The genders indicated are the genders of the characters. We are open to actors of any gender in any role.
