Please prepare two brief, contrasting contemporary monologues.

Please bring a photo and resume, stapled back-to-back.

World premiere, commissioned by the Theatre.

Seeking (all roles are available unless otherwise specified):

John:

50s – early 60s. Southern.

Walter / Vince / Kenneth:

One actor plays all three. Walter: African American, mid – late 20s. Connie’s son. Vince: Real estate man. Kenneth: Telephone lineman from North Georgia.

Hugo / Roadie / Bubba / Bud / Waffle Fact Man / Hank:

One actor plays all. Hugo: Mid – late 40s. Midwestern professor. Roadie: A rock star’s burly lackey. Bubba: Man, 40s. Southern “redneck”. Bud, Waffle Fact Man and Hank: Characters who deliver testimonial monologues at various times in the play.

Ralphie / Rocker / Tommy / Gary / Vivien / Rufus / Esau:

One actor plays all. Ralphie: Late 20s – mid 30s. Trying to find himself. Rocker: A rock star. Tommy: A real estate man. Gary: Police officer. Vivien: Drag queen. Rufus: Magician. Deaf and does not speak. Note: All other characters in this track are hearing characters. Esau: A bigfoot.

Esperanza:

Latina, 20s – early 30s.

Tooty / Veronica / Candy / Esther / Castle / Poet / Erica:

One actress plays all. Tooty: 40s. Bubba’s wife. Veronica: Rocker’s girlfriend. Candy: Police officer. Esther: Elderly, deceased Jewish woman. Charlie Castle: President of Castle Properties; a real estate developer. Poet and Erica: Characters who deliver testimonial monologues at various times in the play.

Connie:

CAST. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary. African American woman, late 40s – mid 50s.
