BEN HECHT
71 years old, the successful screenwriter, playwright, journalist and human rights activist. Balding, urbane, cynical, he appreciates the finer things in life and still working professionally, keeps an office on the upper west side of Manhattan. Ben raised Jenny at a more advanced age than most fathers.
JENNY
(Cast – auditions for replacements) Almost 21 years old, his actress daughter, fifty years his junior; striking, shapely, petite, she’s a Goth-styled, young idealist who has joined a radical theatre company. She lives with them communally in the East Village downtown.
FENWAY: A VINEYARD LOVE LETTER
