The Vineyard Playhouse 2012 Season – EPAs by Appointment in MA

Minimum weekly salary $300 (actors) $350 (stage managers)

Actors may choose to present one or more scenes from the season and/or choose to present one or more prepared monologues and/or readings from other sources. Sides will also be provided for auditions.

Actors, please bring 2 pictures and resumes stapled together.

There are currently no Stage Manager positions available. However, SM’s may mail cover letter and resumes to:

Stage managers may also attend the EPAs for a brief interview. Bring two copies of your resume.

THE SCREENWRITER’S DAUGHTER

The true and imagined story of Ben and Jenny Hecht

A New Play written & directed by Larry Mollin

BEN HECHT

71 years old, the successful screenwriter, playwright, journalist and human rights activist. Balding, urbane, cynical, he appreciates the finer things in life and still working professionally, keeps an office on the upper west side of Manhattan. Ben raised Jenny at a more advanced age than most fathers.

JENNY

(Cast – auditions for replacements) Almost 21 years old, his actress daughter, fifty years his junior; striking, shapely, petite, she’s a Goth-styled, young idealist who has joined a radical theatre company. She lives with them communally in the East Village downtown.

FENWAY: A VINEYARD LOVE LETTER

Actual Fenway Park stories and fan reminiscences make up this truly unique theatre piece, conceived and directed by Randal Myler. A heartfelt 'love letter' from the Vineyard's Red Sox Nation!
