Seeking Equity actors:
Seeking: Versatile actors - performers in this piece must have the ability to play more than one character. Of utmost importance is a unique and willing personality, someone who thrives in a creative highly collaborative environment. These roles call for a high level of skill in modern/contemporary dance. The choreography is more athletic than classical.
JENNA/LINDSAY
Female, 22-45, any ethnicity. Must play two different characters at three different ages: Jenna (11 years old) and Lindsay (12 years old and flash forward to her at 46 years old). Jenna is a cynical world-weary girl, snarky to an extreme; Lindsay is a tomboy, a well-meaning but slightly dense character who is protective of her intellectually prodigious schoolyard pal.
SWING for all MALE ROLES
Male, 22-45, any ethnicity. Looking for strong actor/dancers. The choreography is modern/contemporary, more athletic than classical; one need not have a background in conventional dance training. Must be able to play multiple characters, should be particularly strong with humor.
Roles to cover include:
* Henry: Shy, modest, a little lonely. Not very street-smart.
* Principal Campbell: well-intentioned but bumbling, desperately interested in making a good impression.
* Nathan Ryerson: a venture capitalist, extremely successful. Self-assured, media-savvy.
* Marcus: a bully -- crude, a little slow but ultimately feckless.
* Hipólito: suave and sexually confident.

The following roles are already CAST. Actors may be considered for possible replacements if needed.
QUINCY
CAST. Female, 10-14, an 11 year old intellectual prodigy, very advanced and unassuming. She has a sunny, sweet and positive nature combined with an exacting brain that won’t shut off. A natural list-maker, an observer, a researcher, a journalist.
Does not dance.
MS CALVIN
CAST. Female, 40-50, extremely overweight – but the actress need not be. She has exiled herself from the world. Does not dance.
HENRY
CAST. Male, 25-35, shy, modest, a little lonely. Not very street-smart.
PRINCIPAL CAMPBELL/NATHAN REYERSON
CAST. Male, 22-45. Principal Campbell: well-intentioned but bumbling, desperately interested in making agood impression. Nathan Ryerson: a venture capitalist, extremely successful. Self-assured, media-savvy.
KAY KAY/DEEANN
CAST. Female, 20-35. Kay Kay: crusty, veteran stripper. Raspy, whiskey drinking – a young Elaine Stritch. Good actor and dancer.
SHERYL BASKIN/TRINA
CAST. Female, 25-35. Sheryl: corporate, very pulled together head of a reunion committee for an esoteric Mensa-like IQ group. Sharp but not brittle. Trina: 13 year old do-gooder – bright and curious. Good actor and dancer.
MARCUS/HIPÓLITO
CAST. Male, 25-35. Marcus: a bully -- crude, a little slow but ultimately feckless. Hipólito: suave and sexually confident. Good actor and dancer.
BERNARD
CAST. Male, 38-48. Bernard is an addict, unable to find relief. He's aware of his burden, and is attempting to rectify the troubles he's caused. Good actor and dancer.
