NOTE: This is the world premiere of a new play by Rajiv Joseph, author of BENGAL TIGER IN THE BAGHDAD ZOO and GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES. The play is a suspenseful two-hander between a Vice-Principal and a transfer student, following the death of a young female student.
Seeking:
Khadim Asmaan:
Early 20s to play late teens, male, Middle-Eastern (born in Syria, raised in Saudi Arabia), he comes across alternately as a truculent teen and as a sharp entrepreneur. Has no trouble appearing in the character the Vice Principal expects of him, but can’t resist revealing how much he has been underestimated. A smart, lonely kid, with a sharp sense of humor. His English is fluent, except when he chooses not to understand American slang. Speaks with a slight Middle Eastern accent that has been influenced by an education in a British school.
