Please prepare a dramatic monologue, 2-3 minutes long. Monologues from the play are welcome, but not required.

Kate Keller: AVAILABLE ROLE. 30s. Southern. Gentle, but strong-willed. Helen’s mother.
James Keller: AVAILABLE ROLE. 20s. Southern. Snobbish. Helen’s half-brother.
Viney: AVAILABLE ROLE. African American, “ageless”. Servant and mother.
The following roles are cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary, and as possible understudies.
Annie Sullivan: CAST. 20, Irish. Feisty teacher.
Captain Keller: CAST. 50s. Southern. Explosive gentleman.
Aunt Ev: CAST. Middle-aged. Opinionated.
Doctor: CAST. 50s. Small-town doctor.
Anagnos: CAST. Director of the Perkins School for the Blind.
