Seeking:

Aslan:

30s-50, any ethnicity (Theatre states that it is particularly interested in casting this role as African American). Tall. Commanding. He is a king; strong, not sappy. Can show anger and strength, and also be gentle. Strong baritone and excellent mover.

Mr. Beaver:

40s-60, any ethnicity. Short, a little round. A common man. Grounded, matter-of-fact, determined, honest, caring, worldly. Strong paternal instincts when he deals with the children. Comic timing. Strong character singer, some stage combat skills.

40s-60s, any ethnicity. Warm, C. S. Lewis professor-type; scholarly, a bit befuddled but not too wacky. Needs to show empathy – not too cold and distant. Warm baritone.
